Cheryl focuses on Monterey regional hospitality, branded case good sales, event planning and support for DFV Wines' Monterey-based businesses. She is active in the Monterey County Vintners' and Growers' Association, serving on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and as a member of the Marketing Committee.

Cheryl began her winery career in 1990, starting in the marketing and sales department. She later became the brand manager for a private label wine division. Her DFV Wines service changed in 1993 when she became Human Resources Manager through 1998. Since 1998, she returned to the Marketing and Sales area, where she established the new position of Public Relations Manager.

After moving to Monterey in May 2000, she has taken on the additional responsibilities of regional hospitality at San Bernabe Vineyard.

She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business from California State University, Stanislaus in 1989, and a Registered Nursing degree in 1985. She and her husband Claude Hoover and their son Dominick reside in Monterey, California.
