When asked what he is responsible for at DFV Wines, President and CEO Chris Indelicato laughs and says, "I am in charge of Very Important Things." At the helm of his family's company for over two-and-a-half years, Chris brings vision, imagination and strategic direction to a family business that has thrived for over 80 years.

Not to mention a good dose of humor. His down-to-earth style sets the tone for a business that prides itself on excellence at every level, while still maintaining a healthy attitude about work, life and family. It is an attitude of taking business seriously, while being able to balance the joyful things in life.

"Being a family-owned business, there is a mindset that permeates everything we do," he explains. "I work with my family, the most important people in the world to me, every single day. I am constantly reminded that each employee, each vendor, each grower, each consumer is also part of our family. I have a responsibility to serve them to the best of my ability."

This sense of service is what drives the strategic direction of the company. "I am focusing now on growing the branded wine portfolio of our business in order to respond to consumer demand for wines they can relate to that over-deliver on quality," he says. "DFV Wines is uniquely situated to respond quickly to what's driving the market. DFV Wines is a nimble, entrepreneurial organization that wants success on every level so that our partners, our consumers and our employees all benefit."

Chris has a Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Southern California and is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant. When he isn't busy doing Very Important Things, he likes to play basketball or softball, ride dirt bikes and go fishing and camping. His favorite pastime is hanging out with his wife, Mache, his son Borja and daughter Caterina.
