Bios : Marie Mathews
DFV Tasting Room Director Marie Mathews has been in retail for over 27 years -- it is what she knows and loves. As a third generation family member, Marie brings considerable enthusiasm to her role in the family business, as well as an eye for opportunities to expand DFV Wines' reach in the wine industry.
As the "face" of DFV Wines to scores of consumers who visit the tasting room on a daily basis, Marie sees her role as service first, sales second. "My favorite part of my job is providing a memorable experience for the people who take the time to come to the winery," she says. "I think about service in everything I do, whether it's something small like creating a display or a bigger project such as launching a wine club."
Marie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Sacramento State University. She is responsible for managing events, creating new products, overseeing the wine club and empowering the tasting room staff. In her spare time she enjoys sewing and crafts and is active in her church and the Manteca Unified School District.
